Seventeen Years of the Same Desk
OEF started in Guwahati because students from this region were making five-year decisions on the strength of an agent's promise, with nobody checking whether that promise held up. It still does not always hold up. What changed is that families now have somewhere in Downtown Guwahati to walk in and get the paperwork checked before the money moves, not after.
More than 2,000 students have come through that door since. Some walked out with an MBBS plan. Some walked out choosing BDS or BAMS instead, for reasons that made sense once the numbers were on the table. A few walked out being told, plainly, that this year was not their year and a structured repeat attempt was the better call. We would rather say that once, in the room, than let a family find out in October.
NEET UG qualification is mandatory for every MBBS and BDS seat in India, government or private, with no exception. Anyone offering a seat without it is not offering you anything real. That is the one thing we will never soften, no matter how far someone has travelled to hear it.
